Great location, within walking distance to the shopping district and close to the subway. The renovated rooms were well-appointed with comfortable beds, coffee makers, and other amenities. The staff were helpful and polite, and I had a lovely massage during my stay.

The soundproofing in the rooms was not great, as I could hear staff and other guests coming and going, which made it difficult to sleep in.

I went to Essen for the opera and the hotel is ideally situated at the park where the opera house and the concert hall are located, so a less than five minute walk. The centre of Essen (which is not that interesting but has all the shops) is about 20 minutes by foot, the train station about 15 minutes from the hotel. Also, the Folkwang Museum is about 10 minutes from the hotel. The sauna area in the hotel is quite comfortable and the breakfast was very, very good, they had about everything and very fresh. The area around the hotel is rather buisinesslike but as I said, there is the city park and the public transport is good.

There was some working going on during the day (not in the weekend) which was very noisy.

Great location, close to main station and UBahn. Convenient access to the city and Philharmonie. Tour bus stops right outside the hotel. Helpful and friendly staff. Clean and comfortable rooms. Decent gym facilities. Excellent breakfast with a lot of choices. Unbelievably comfortable beds.

The hotel's location was perfect for my trip. It was right next to the philharmonic which was where I was going. Additionally, it was near the train station, had easy access to transportation, and located right in the center of this city. The hotel facilities and cleanliness were great. The breakfast was delicious with a variety of choices. Moreover, the staff was friendly, helpful, and provided excellent service.

The location was perfect for us, as it was just a short walk to the city centre. The staff were friendly and helpful, and the food at the hotel was delicious. The beds were comfortable and the rooms were clean.

That there was no restaurant open during our stay. However, we found some great dining options nearby, so it wasn't a big issue.

Service is good and staff are attentive. The breakfast is good! And I always able to catch a taxi!

Nothing for all was perfect

Our stay was a wonderful experience, with a great location near the park, ideal for our morning stroll walks before heading out to the opera house. The service was top-notch, staff went out of their way to ensure we were comfortable. The rooms were modern and comfortable, with excellent room service and tasty breakfast options. The lobby was pleasant and welcoming, and overall a great experience.

The service from the staff went beyond expectation. All of the staff were professional yet friendly and helpful. A wonderful experience.

I enjoyed everything about the Sheraton and will stay there again.
